My Side of the Story

My mother and I go about living a seemingly normal life. However, nothing is ever as it seems. I go to bible study, church and school while knowing that once I get home, I’ll be expected to cook, clean and study the bible. Because being a housewife and a stay-at-home mother is the life I’m expected to live once I meet a good church boy, a God-fearing boy. It’s not the life I want but I don’t really have a choice in the matter, my mother controls everything I do, watching me even when I think she isn’t. It’s terrifying, what’s worse is the fact that she wasn’t always like this. No, she was a good mother; nice, kind and caring but since David entered the picture, everything changed.
This book was inspired by true events. Names and places have been changed as well as some aspects have been exaggerated.

About the Author
As a young girl who needed to escape everyday life, I found myself buried in books and poetry, creating worlds inside my head that were better than the world I was living in. My love for literature grew until I wanted to read book after book. However, I didn’t think I’d become a writer for one second.
Instead, I tried to teach children, I tried to become a beauty therapist, I tried to do anything creative in order to let out this burning desire to create but nothing did any justice. Not until I started ghostwriting.
Ghostwriting was never something I thought I would do but when I started, it came so naturally that four years flew by within a blink of an eye.
I wrote and wrote and wrote until I decided that I should write for myself, that I should write something entirely my own with my name on it.
And that’s where it begins, the journey of writing for an audience that will know that every word I write is my own and that the stories I tell belong to me and only me.
