This website is operated by Nicole Blanchard, owner of IndieSage. Throughout the site, the terms “we”, “us” and “our” refer to Nicole Blanchard and IndieSage. IndieSage offers this website, including all information, tools and services available from this site to you, the user, conditioned upon your acceptance of all terms, conditions, policies and notices stated here.

By visiting our site and/ or purchasing something from us, you engage in our “Service” and agree to be bound by the following terms and conditions (“Terms of Service”, “Terms”), including those additional terms and conditions and policies referenced herein and/or available by hyperlink. These Terms of Service apply to all users of the site, including without limitation users who are browsers, vendors, clients, merchants, and/ or contributors of content.

Please read these Terms of Service carefully before accessing or using our website. By accessing or using any part of the site, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. Payment solidifies your acceptance of these terms. If you do not agree to all the terms and conditions of this agreement, then you may not access the website or use any services. If these Terms of Service are considered an offer, acceptance is expressly limited to these Terms of Service.

We cannot be held responsible for anything you feel you did not know by not reading these Terms of Service. Questions and comments about the Terms of Service should be sent to us at nicole @ indiesage . com (w/o spaces).

Modification to the Service and Prices

Prices for our services and products are subject to change without prior notification. All prices are US dollars.

We reserve the right at any time to modify or discontinue the Service (or any part or content thereof) without prior notice at any time.

We shall not be liable to you or to any third-party for any modification, price change, suspension or discontinuance of the Service.

Personal Information

Your submission of personal information through our site and store is governed by our Privacy Policy.

All client information and materials (contact forms, emails, questionnaires) are considered confidential and will only be used to work on your service. Client information and materials will not be given out or shared with any third party, unless otherwise requested by the client.
Booking an Event

Once an event request is submitted via our form an IndieSage representative will be in contact within 48 hours to finalize event details.

When event dates are settled, you will receive an invoice via Paypal, due at the time of receipt.

Full refunds may be authorized within one business week of book with IndieSage PR.

After one business week 50% of your total invoice will be kept for services rendered if a refund is requested.

Once materials have been generated, blogs booked, and ARCs sent, no refunds will be given for services rendered.

Authors acknowledge that we cannot guarantee blog participation for your event, nor can we guarantee that those that sign up will post on their specified date. However, we do our best to contact each blog that misses a post for an update. Not all blogs will post. Of all that sign up we estimate that 80-90% will post on their scheduled date.

Authors acknowledge that even though a blog may request to review for a blog tour, that does not guarantee that they will post their review or that the review will be positive. Blogs are encouraged to express their honest and respectful thoughts. We do, however, ask that all blogs refrain from posting reviews less than three stars for any event.

Authors acknowledge that we cannot guarantee that these reviews will be cross-posted to Goodreads, Amazon, B&N, Kobo, iBooks, etc. We make every effort to encourage blogs to do so, however.

Authors acknowledge that they have the right to use materials provided. Including, but not limited to, cover art and / or elements used for banners / teasers, images distributed to blogs (teasers, graphics, etc), and excerpts or additional material.

Making Your Event a Success

We encourage all authors to include giveaways with their event as these encourage reader participation.

IndieSage will manage, set up, and distribute the giveaway via Rafflecopter. We automatically include the following options: Like the authors Facebook page, Add the book to Goodreads, Follow the author on Twitter, and tweeting about the giveaway, new release, or sale. Authors are welcome to suggest entry options or provide their own giveaway code.

IndieSage will choose the winner at the end of the giveaway and provide the author with the winner’s information within 5 days of completion.

It is the authors responsibility to contact the winner(s) and distribute the prizes(s).

Requesting that a reader leave a review in exchange for an entry option is prohibited.

Authors will provide Advanced Reader Copies at least three weeks in advance of their event start date. This will ensure that blogs and/or reviewers have ample time to read and compose their review. Blogs often book weeks ahead, so do your best to provide ARCs as soon as possible.

We encourage authors to provide a variety of promotional material that may include but is not limited to: review copies, excerpts, interviews, guest posts, teaser graphics, etc.

This material is due at least two weeks prior to your event start date.

We encourage all authors the participate in all events by following along with the tours, thanking your hosts, and interacting with readers. Frequent sharing only helps to make your event a success.

Review Requests

By participating and paying in the Read and Review program, the author is purchasing access to our many reviewers. The author is not purchasing reviews.

We do not guarantee a specific number of reviews. We will send the author the allotted amount of interested reader’s emails. These readers do not receive compensation nor are they employees of IndieSage.

Readers are all informed that they must comply with Amazon requirements and include the disclaimer “I received this book in exchange for an honest review.”

IndieSage will email reviewers twice to remind them to review. Not all reviewers will leave a review.

We estimate that out of 25 reviewers, around 10-16 will leave reviews.

Reviewers will leave honest reviews. We can’t guarantee that all the reviews will be good. Amazon reserves the right to reject any review.

If your book doesn’t receive the 25 reviews, we will not offer a refund. We will continue promoting your book until we get as close to that number as possible.

It is against our terms and conditions for the author to offer additional free books to the reader. Any violation of this policy will result in the termination of the author’s contract with IndieSage.

The author may not use any other service to distribute the book to the reader.

There are no book swaps. If the author’s book doesn’t receive the number of interested readers the author may not swap the book for another title.

One of the email addresses may be a dummy address from Indie Sage for quality control.

Authors may not harass, solicit, or annoy the readers. Any violation will result in termination of the contract.

Indie Sage deserves the right to reject any book from the program. We do not accept any book  that discriminates against anyone based on disability, race, religion, sexual orientation or gender. We also don’t accept any book that includes the following subject matters:

Incest (step-siblings okay!)

Pornography (erotica okay!)

Bestiality (shape-shifters & werewolves okay!)

Necrophilia (zombies & vampires okay!)

Rape for Pleasure (dark romance okay!)

Pedophilia (sorry—never okay, unless you’re Vladimir Nabokov . . . or Sting!)

Graphic Design Services

By ordering services through IndieSage you are agreeing to the following:

We reserve the right to state when a client has exhausted the designer’s services at any time.
Any work done to an already completed design is done at an additional cost.
It is the clients’ responsibility to save and create back-ups of any (design) files we send to you. IndieSage is not responsible for keeping a copy of the final, approved art work and any website design files as well as the original source files (for example .psd files) indefinitely.
We have made every effort to display as accurately as possible the colors and images of our products that appear at the store. We cannot guarantee that your computer monitor’s display of any color will be accurate.

For Print products:

We are not liable for any errors or losses of any kind that may arise from the printing of your cover, book or promotional items.
Once you approve a design, you agree that you are satisfied with it as it is, even if it includes (spelling) errors or inconsistencies whatsoever.
All our designs are exclusively created for use by the clients who commissioned them and may not be used by anyone else. Designs created by IndieSage may only be used for their original purpose. This means that you are not allowed to republish or sell your design to anyone. Sublicense are not granted. The rights to any photos, graphics and source code are not transferred to the client; each element remains the property of its respective owners. IndieSage also retains the right to display graphics and other web design elements from any design as examples of our work anywhere on the internet or as hard copies.

Website Design Services
Installation, configuration and optimization of all CMS (“Content Management System”) software as well as any plugins and add-ons is included in this service. But you are responsible for obtaining proper licensing for all CMS software used.

IndieSage does provide support for the use of CMS software but additional fees will apply.

All CMS plugins are released under their own licenses and are owned by their respective developers. IndieSage provides an installation service only.

During the first month after the launch of the new design, we will trouble-shoot any “problems” for free that you may encounter managing the new site.

We cannot guarantee that the designs will view correctly in every single browser and/or platform out there. We will do our best to ensure that your new design is functional in the latest versions of Internet Explorer, Firefox, Chrome and Safari for Windows and Mac, on desktop, tablet and phone, but cannot guarantee it will be the same for other browsers/platforms (especially older ones or beta versions).

While we will do back-ups, if possible, prior to any work on your website, we can’t be held responsible for lost files during a website transfer or a site restoration for example.

It is your responsibility to save and create regular and frequent back-ups of your website files and databases.

Payments and Refunds


PayPal is our sole method of payment.

An additional Expedition Fee will be charged for last-minute projects, or simply for an expedited turnaround time. Expedition fees will be 25% of the original design fee.

Payment for Other Services

Unless otherwise noted, the services are billed at $25/hr, in 60-minute increments.

Changes to Terms of Service
You can review the most current version of the Terms of Service at any time at this page.

We reserve the right, at our sole discretion, to update, change or replace any part of these Terms of Service by posting updates and changes to our website. It is your responsibility to check our website periodically for changes. Your continued use of or access to our website or the Service following the posting of any changes to these Terms of Service constitutes acceptance of those changes.
